The Long Table

A carefully curated culinary slow living retreat

14 - 17 August

In a world that moves too fast, we create space to slow down. Space to return to the senses, to the simplicity of making, and to the quiet rhythm of nature and food. At a countryside farmhouse, days unfold around the table—through hands-on cooking, shared meals, and moments of stillness in between. Here, you work with seasonal ingredients, learn through touch and taste, and move through the day without rush. Between the warmth of the sauna, the focus of the kitchen, and the calm of the landscape, something begins to shift. You arrive, you soften, and you start to notice again.

A long weekend to slow down

A long weekend designed to slow you down, set in nature and shaped by a thoughtful balance of rest, creativity, and connection. Through hands-on workshops, you’ll learn new skills in the kitchen, work with seasonal ingredients, and rediscover the joy of creating with your hands.Between morning pilates, long table dinners, and moments of quiet in your private space or the sauna, the days unfold at a gentle pace—leaving you feeling restored, inspired, and deeply reconnected to yourself and your surroundings.

Workshops and activities

At The Long Table, each day unfolds with intention. Start with gentle pilates or yoga, gather ingredients on a local farm, and bring them back to craft seasonal dishes, from locally harvested salads to incredible sourdough breads.Evenings are centred around the table, with a chef-led dinner by Noah Poletano showcasing a multi-course menu with handmade foccacias and pizzas from the wood-fired oven.Between workshops and shared meals, there is space to unwind in your (private) room or the sauna, stroll through nature, and savour a weekend of hands-on creativity, seasonal flavours, and slow living.

Stay at Hoeve Hurpesch

Tucked away in the rolling landscape of South Limburg, Hoeve Hurpesch sits quietly between hills, fields, and winding country roads. This part of the Netherlands feels different—softer, slower, shaped by nature and the rhythm of the land. The Heuvelland invites you to move at a gentler pace. Mornings begin with mist over the hills and birdsong in the distance, while days unfold through walks along green paths, open views, and the quiet presence of nature all around. At Hoeve Hurpesch, the farmhouse becomes a place to gather and to retreat. A space where long tables are set, where the kitchen is always alive, and where the surroundings naturally draw you outside; whether for a slow walk, a moment in the sun, or simply to take it all in.Here, the landscape is not just a backdrop, but part of the experience. Grounding, calming, and deeply connected to the way we cook, eat, and spend our time together.

Host of the weekend

Maddy is the founder of Studio Nosh and The Long Table, with a deep-rooted passion for food and creating meaningful moments. After graduating in Creative Industries from Radboud University Nijmegen, she followed her curiosity and travelled across the world—finding inspiration in the flavours, places, and people she encountered along the way. With a love for nature her approach is intuitive and sensory, shaped by what she sees, tastes, and experiences. What began as a passion for food has grown into a way of living—bringing people together around the table, where creativity, connection, and a sense of ease come naturally.
